Cities around the world are using data to generate insights and address key community challenges. Drawing on best practices from successful performance analytics programs, this workshop will walk participants through a framework designed to help city leaders take a data-driven approach to solving city problems. GovEx will share concrete examples from cities around the world. This session is targeted at departmental leaders who are not necessarily conducting analysis directly and also as a prerequisite for staff who will complete the Advanced Data and Analytics Session.

At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Define the components of one standard analytical framework
- Develop a problem statement
- Identify the elements of an analytics plan
- Apply an analytical approach to problem-solving

The target audience for the session: Middle managers and frontline staff
